Microphone quality: Clear pickup of voices at normal speaking volume from about 3–4 metres. Background noise is reasonably filtered — not studio quality, but perfectly functional for home use.
Speaker quality: Voice comes through the camera speaker clearly and loudly enough to be heard across a mid-sized room. Useful for communicating with family, household staff, or deterring an unwanted visitor.
